What is Stylu?

Stylu is an on demand beauty app that sends vetted professionals directly to your home, office, hotel or wherever your location may be. Beauty is delivered to you. Anytime. Anywhere.

How does Stylu work?

Download our Stylu app on the App store. Create an account. Choose your desired service. Tell us when and where you want the service. Also provide any special instructions, parking details or any allergies that will make your Stylu professional more aware upon arrival. Confirm all your details of your appointment. That’s it! we send our vetted beauty professionals directly to you. No need for cash on hand, all payments are processed on the app or website after your appointment.

Can I choose my Stylu professional?

Your Stylu professional has been selected based on your service chosen, availability and the artist’s proximity to your location. We carefully hand pick our professionals to ensure they are certified and licensed. We only allow the most talented and professional artists to join our network. However, If you would like to request for a specific professional or have any special request, please email [email protected] and we will try our best to accommodate you.

Who are the beauty professionals?

All professionals are selectively hand picked and are required to have years of experience in the beauty industry. Each qualified professional is background checked and must pass through a rigorous vetting process before joining the Stylu network. All our Stylu professionals have been trained and mentored from award beauty artists in the industry.

How do I prepare for my Stylu appointment?

For Blowouts it is recommended to wash your hair 10-20 minutes prior to the appointment and have a place to sit near an electrical outlet so that we can use our styling/hair tools. For Updos, or Halfup’s there is no need to shampoo your hair before your appointment. Dry hair is best. It is recommended to have your hair washed the day prior to your appointment for best results.

For Makeup applications please have a make-up free, clean and moisturized face prior to your beauty artist’s arrival.

For office appointments wet hair is recommended. But if you are in an office, our professionals can wet your hair with a spray bottle or we can do dry styling. Whatever is preferred.

How do I pay?

All payments are processed through credit card only. You must enter your credit card information upon your first booking on the app. All your information will be securely saved for any future appointments. We do process a pre-authorization before hand but your card will be fully charged only when your appointment has been completed.

How much should I tip my professional?

Tipping is optional, but encouraged. At the end of your service, our platform will ask you if you want to add a tip. You can choose from the available options or enter any other amount.

Can I book without having an iPhone?

Yes, you can. If you don’t have an iPhone, you can simply request an appointment with all booking details directly on our website or at [email protected]

Tax will be added to each Stylu service.

What is Stylu’s cancellation policy?

If you cancel more than 12 hours before your appointment, there will be no cancellation fee. Between 1 hour and 12 hours notice, you will be charged 50% of the total list price. If you cancel less than 1 hour from the appointment time, you will be charged 100% of the list price for the services selected. Also no-shows will be charged full list price of the service.

Wedding Cancellations: If any booked bridal group or bride services are cancelled less than one month before the wedding date, you will be charged 50% of the total list cost of the cancelled services. 

What is our parking policy?

Stylu Beauty Professionals will do their best to find free parking. If they are unable to, any parking fees above $5 the client will be responsible for the remaining balance. Our Client Experience team will be notified to add the remaining parking charge to your final Stylu receipt. If you are able to provide a parking pass or other parking discount for the Beauty Pro, please notify our Client Experience team before your appointment.

Can I book makeup and hair services together?

Yes! You can request makeup and hair services together. It’s recommended to book your first desired service then book your second service for the same date, time and location. Depending on the chosen services. We either send one makeup artist and one hairstylist who will work simultaneously. Or we send one hairstylist/makeup artist to accommodate both services.

How can I change my appointment?

If you would like to change or reschedule your appointment, we require at least 4 hours notice from the scheduled appointment time. Email us at [email protected]. If you change the appointment less than 4 hours from the appointment time, you will be charged cancellation fees.

What happens if I am late?

If you are running late we allow a 15 minute window period for you to arrive. Since our Hairstylists and Makeup artists time is valuable, we will charge the full amount of your service as a “no-show” fee if you exceed the 15 minute window. Also, appointment address locations can not be changed without advance notice.

When can I request a Stylu service?

Stylu services are available between 6:00am to 9:00pm. We only allow last minute appointments with just 2 hours notice or you you can book your appointments in advance. However, we will always try to accommodate your request. Email us directly at [email protected]

What products do Stylu professionals use?

All of our artists only carry high quality professionals beauty products. But in case of any allergies or sensitivities please have your favourite products on hand.

Does Stylu do weddings?

Yes of course! Stylu has an amazing team of artists, including professionals with up to 20 years of experience working with brides and large bridal parties For wedding inquiries please contact  [email protected]

Does an Updo Include a Blowout?

When you book an Updo on the app, it does not include a Blowout. For best Updo results, we recommend that you wash your hair the day before your appointment. Please have your hair dry prior to artists arrival. If you would like to add a Blowout with your Updo, please email us at [email protected]

If I am at the office do I still need wet hair for a blowout?

We recommend having wet hair for blowout services but it is not necessary, we can provide dry styling. Our Stylu professionals have spray bottles and can accommodate a wet to dry blowout in any office setting.

What location does Stylu service?

Stylu services are currently only available in Toronto, Vancouver and some areas of the GTA. More locations coming soon. If you are wondering when Stylu is coming to you please email us at [email protected]

Can I book times that are not listed on Stylu app?

Does Stylu accommodate large parties?

We offer beauty services for large groups (birthdays, bachelorettes, special occasions etc.) For any party inquiries of 3 people and more, email us at [email protected]
